Rise early for the highlight of the tour: gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After a briefing from experienced rangers, venture into the dense rainforest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is extraordinary watching these gentle giants interact, feed, and play just meters away. Spending time with them is a deeply moving experience, often described as life-changing. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a jewel of southwestern Uganda. Known as the “place of little birds,” Lake Bunyonyi enchants visitors with its emerald waters dotted by 29 islands.
