Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast in Arusha, travel approximately 125 km to Tarangire National Park, passing rolling hills, farmland, and traditional Maasai villages. Explore the park’s open savannahs, riverine forests, and iconic baobab trees, where large elephant herds roam alongside lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the sounds and sights of the wilderness, then continue your afternoon game drive with insights from your professional guide. In the late afternoon, transfer to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight, preparing for the next day’s journey to Ndutu and the calving season.

Settle into your lodge before an afternoon game drive to witness the wildebeest and zebra calving season, when thousands of newborns take their first steps and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are active. Your guide provides insights into predator-prey dynamics, animal behavior, and migration patterns. Return to your lodge in Ndutu for dinner and overnight, enjoying the serene surroundings and the sounds of Africa’s untamed wilderness.
