Shuttle to Makuwa Safari Lodge & Afternoon Guided Bush Walk

Your safari begins with a shared shuttle transfer from Johannesburg to Makuwa Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger area. After arrival and time to settle in, you will enjoy a guided afternoon walk at Makuwa with an experienced local guide. This walk focuses on smaller wildlife, tracks, plants and the bush environment, offering an excellent introduction to the area and safari life. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Kruger National Park Game Drive

Clients wake up early and depart before sunrise with their guide in an open safari vehicle for a full day of game drives inside Kruger National Park. Both breakfast and lunch are enjoyed inside the park, allowing for uninterrupted wildlife viewing across a range of habitats throughout the day. Morning and afternoon drives maximize opportunities to see the Big Five and other plains game, as well as birdlife. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Panorama Route Excursion

After breakfast at the lodge, you will set out for a full day exploring the world famous Panorama Route in Mpumalanga. Travel through breathtaking landscapes and stop at iconic viewpoints such as God’s Window, offering panoramic vistas of the Lowveld, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where centuries of water erosion have sculpted dramatic rock formations, and the Three Rondavels, striking cliff faces resembling traditional homesteads. You will also visit the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world, with opportunities for short walks to scenic viewpoints and photo stops. Along the route, your guide will provide insights into the region’s geology, flora, fauna and cultural history, making it both a scenic and educational experience. Return to Makuwa Safari Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Return to Johannesburg

After breakfast and check out, you will begin your return journey to Johannesburg. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive through Mpumalanga, with optional photo stops along the way. The tour concludes upon arrival at your designated drop off point in the city.
