Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), and after immigration formalities, a Wild Pride Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to relax and prepare for your unforgettable Tanzania luxury safari. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch in the park.

Tarangire National Park (2,600 km²) has an unrivalled landscape of open plains dotted with thousands of baobab trees. It is located about 120 km south of Arusha. Tarangire is known for its lions and very large herds of buffalo. This is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. Animals found in the park include zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, Masai giraffe, and fringe-eared oryx (gemsbok). Predators include lion, cheetah, and leopard. Birders can look out for the endemic ashy starling, rufous-tailed weaver, and black-collared lovebird.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park. Eat lunch at the lodge, then embark on an afternoon game drive in the park for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

The Serengeti, one of the largest parks in Africa at 15,000 sq km, is home to some three million large mammals and features a diversity of landscapes. The southern region is dominated by lush grassy plains that draw about two million wildebeest, half a million zebra, and some quarter million antelope, making the hazardous journey in search of pasture when the autumn rains come.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 4

Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to the northern Serengeti for a game drive around the Mara River crossing in search of the migration. You will eat a picnic lunch during the drive.

The Great Migration is arguably the greatest wildlife show on earth. It is the largest single movement of wildlife in search of water, pasture, and breeding grounds. In addition to the migrating herds, you may also see cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocodiles, Thomson’s gazelle, and Grant’s gazelle, among many others. With over five hundred bird species identified, the park is a rich ornithological area, including ostrich, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the largest flighted bird on Earth, the kori bustard. You will seek out these creatures with the experience of your Wild Pride Safaris guide, and as the day draws to a close, return to camp to unwind and dine under the East African sky.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

After breakfast, you will drive to the northern Serengeti for a game drive around the Mara River crossing in search of the migration. You will eat a picnic lunch during the drive.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a morning crater tour and a picnic lunch. You will descend 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely referred to as a caldera). This 304 square kilometer enclosed ecosphere was formed two to three million years ago by the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro and offers some of the best game-viewing opportunities in Tanzania.

Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area where you may see flamingos, and the open savannah where lions hunt for food. With around 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see the "Big Five," wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, bushbuck, hartebeest, hippo, antelope, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, and impala, as well as over 500 bird species.

In the late afternoon you will drive to Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will depart for Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Your estimated departure time is 11:30 hrs and your estimated arrival time is 14:20 hrs.

Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be met and transferred to The Mora Zanzibar resort for a three-night stay. Your accommodations are in a Superior Garden Room on an all-inclusive basis.

Depending on your flight time, an optional guided tour of Stone Town can be arranged, where you can visit historical sites such as the Central Market of Zanzibar, the former Slave Market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, and the Palace Museum. You will also enjoy walks along the narrow lanes of Stone Town, with opportunities to shop along the way.

Later, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your international flight. This will conclude our services.
