On your arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGA), you will be met by a Gorilla Pathfinders staff that will brief you. After crossing the border, we will drive for approximately 3 hours with a lunch stopover en route. Though long, the drive takes you through different features, including tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi, we shall check in at the lodge and proceed to the Batwa community for the cultural adventure about these forest pygmies. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure as you wait for the next day’s adventure.

The highlight of your safari experience awaits! You'll begin your day with an early breakfast before making your way to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. By 8:30 AM, you’ll embark on your journey into the lush forest, accompanied by your guide and expert trackers, in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is worth it—an unforgettable hour spent observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
After the trek, you'll enjoy a delicious packed lunch, then transfer to Kisoro a town near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

You will have a scenic drive to Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. On arrival, you’ll receive a detailed briefing before setting off on an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. This approximately 5-hour hike takes you through lush bamboo forests at the base of the majestic Virunga Volcanoes, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable encounters as you observe the playful golden monkeys leaping through the trees and foraging for food.
After your golden monkey trekking adventure, you’ll continue to Kigali for End of tour.
