3-Day Akagera National Park Safari and Muhazi Lake

Depart from Kigali to Lake Muhazi

Just wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast at the hotel in Kigali
and get ready for the 62 km drive to Lake Muhazi. The driver will be waiting and
ready to assist you on your travel. As you reach at the lake, the driver will take you
to the booked hotel at “Umva Muhazi” where you will keep your baggage and go
for enjoyment at the lake. By this moment, you will be able to access boat riding,
fishing, bird watching etc. The lunch and Dinner will be taken at the beach where
you will be enjoying a very fresh fish roasted and other fresh food at the place.

Akagera National Park

A very wonderful morning at Lake Muhazi, just wake up and have your breakfast
at the hotel and get ready to move towards Akagera national park. The distance
will be only 63 km and will take 1hr 50 min to reach at the park. On your way, we
shall pass to the village of Nyakarambi and view the kakira women co-operative
creating the Imigongo cow dung, and also the art form that was created by prince
Kakira to be used in decoration of houses using cow dung, then proceed to the
park.
This will be our afternoon in the park, as we go for a boat trip on Lake Ihema and
spot the water birds. We shall also have a chance to see the Nile crocodiles, hippos
and many more land animals like Buffaloes, Elephants, Antelopes etc.
After, you will have to go to the booked hotel and relax while enjoying a sun
downer and comforting sounds of the Rwandan wild.

Game drive and transfer back to Kigal

The early morning, you will have to wake up and prepare yourself as you go for
your breakfast at the Hotel. After you will have to proceed with the morning game
drive inside the park, this will give you another chance to see the elephants,
buffalos as well as zebras during the day. You will also get to observe same kinds
of bird species including “African fish eagle, Martial eagle, woodland kingfisher
and so many more”. This will take the morning and in the afternoon we shall have
to drive back to Kigali.
