Nairobi- Masai Mara

Upon your arrival in Nairobi, your professional safari driver-guide will meet you early in the morning either at the airport or at your city hotel. After a short safari briefing, you will begin your scenic journey to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, approximately a 5-hour drive.

Along the way, you will make a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views and capture memorable photos. You will then continue your drive through the picturesque countryside, arriving at your lodge or camp in time for check-in and lunch.

In the afternoon, head out for your first exciting game drive in the Masai Mara. Explore the vast savannah plains in search of the Big Five and, during migration season, witness the incredible movement of wildebeest and zebras across the reserve. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Great Migration Experience in the Masai Mara

Today promises to be the highlight of your safari adventure. You will depart the lodge early at 6:30 AM, just as the African savannah awakens and predators are still active. The cool morning hours offer the best opportunity to spot wildlife, including lions on the hunt, leopards returning from a night’s prowl, and cheetahs scanning the plain.

During the Great Migration season, you will head toward the famous Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather and attempt dramatic river crossings. Witnessing this powerful survival spectacle — as herds plunge into crocodile-filled waters while predators wait nearby — is truly one of nature’s most unforgettable experiences.

You will continue exploring different areas of the park throughout the afternoon. As the day winds down, enjoy a magical African sunset over the savannah before returning to your lodge at approximately 6:00 PM for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Masai Mara – Nairobi (Maasai Village Visit)

After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. En route, you will visit a traditional Maasai village for a unique cultural experience. Here, you will learn about the Maasai people’s rich heritage, customs, traditional dances, and daily way of life. You will also have the opportunity to explore their manyattas (traditional homes) and interact with community members.

After the visit, you will continue your scenic drive to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with drop-off at the airport or your city hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
