Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax and recover from your journey or enjoy the hotel facilities as you prepare for your upcoming adventure. A short safari briefing will be provided to outline the itinerary and highlight what to expect during your cultural and wildlife experience. Dinner and overnight at Summit Hotel in Arusha.

Tarangire national park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River that attracts wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse habitats including open savannah, woodlands, and seasonal swamps, where you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species, along with abundant birdlife. After a picnic lunch inside the park and continued wildlife viewing in the afternoon, proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn in a tranquil garden setting.

Lake eyasi and departure

After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience with the indigenous Hadzabe and Datoga communities, some of the last remaining hunter-gatherer and pastoralist tribes in East Africa. Join the Hadzabe on a traditional hunting excursion, learn about their survival skills, and gain insight into their ancient way of life, followed by a visit to the Datoga blacksmiths to observe their traditional craftsmanship. After this unique cultural encounter and lunch, drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your onward departure, marking the end of your memorable 3-day Lake Eyasi and Tarangire safari adventure.
