Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds, majestic ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife. The park is home to lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and over 500 bird species, offering exceptional game-viewing opportunities.

During your game drive, you will explore the Tarangire River, the park’s vital water source and a prime location for spotting animals gathering along its banks, especially during the dry season.

Today, you will travel to the northern sector of Serengeti National Park, near the legendary Mara River — one of the most spectacular locations to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, relax, and enjoy dinner surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Guided Game Drive in Central Serengeti National Park then Transfer to Karatu

After breakfast, you will enjoy a guided game drive in Central Serengeti National Park, an area renowned for its year-round wildlife and vast open plains. Accompanied by your professional safari guide, you will search for lions resting on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the savannah, and large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes grazing across the landscape. The Seronera Valley, rich in water sources, offers excellent opportunities to spot leopards and other predators in action.

After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing and a picnic lunch, you will begin your transfer toward Karatu. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands before arriving at your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Exploring Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. Often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and the rare black rhino. With its permanent water sources and open grasslands, it offers one of the best chances to spot the Big Five in a single day.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch beside a hippo-filled lake before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, you will ascend the crater walls and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
