Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your beach resort in Diani Beach. Travel inland toward Tsavo East National Park, entering through Bachuma Gate. Upon arrival, enjoy your first game drive across the vast, open savannah dotted with acacia trees and seasonal riverbeds. Tsavo East is famous for its red elephants, colored by the park’s distinctive red soil, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. Proceed to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an extended afternoon game drive. A visit to Aruba Dam offers excellent wildlife viewing as animals gather to drink. After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route as you journey toward Tsavo West National Park. The landscape gradually changes from open plains to volcanic hills, rocky outcrops, and lush vegetation. Visit the crystal-clear Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be observed beneath the water’s surface through an underwater viewing chamber.
