Arrive anytime at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Tanzania. You will meet us at the
airport and pick up with private transfer to Arusha. We will gather in the evening for a pre-safari
briefing and an equipment check. We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory
medical coverage and travel insurance. Dinner and overnight.

0830hrs drive from Karatu to Lake Eyasi for cultural tour. The place is interested as it home of the Hadzabe (Bushmen) with Click language. You will experience their life style, hunting and gathering, nurturing their children and their general life as they survive through hunting and gathering in the bush. This same place has one of the great a Lake in the East Africa (with Salty water), you will go through it and learn more including the Mumba Cave archaeological site which is also within the area. In the evening you will drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Kudu Lodge.

Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometers wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Kudu Lodge.

After breakfast you will be taken to Arusha airport forflight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival you will check in to the hotel in stone town. Late afternoon you will do stone town tour. A cultural tour by walking through a historical narrow street of Stone Town and sightseeing of exceptional Zanzibar doors, former slave market in the Anglican Church, Palace Museum with Princess Salme Room, Old Fort, local market and a lot of other points of interest. Then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

This is starting from Maruhubi to the canoe makers, they will explain to you how they make fishing and transporting local boats through wood from coconut tree, mango trees and mangroves. They will tell you the entire process before proceeding to Spice plantation for spice tour. Arriving to spice tour, you will experience different spices available in the Island. From Vanilla, pepper, ginger, clove, cardamon and cinnamon to mention a few, these make Zanzibar to be referred as spice Island.
You will learn from planting, harvesting and processing these spices. Most for them are used for food while others are medicine and for perfume making. You will have lunch from local dishes made from the spices and taste various tropical fruits from the same plantations. In the evening you will drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

This is a new experience, you will visit a village where you will learn the true Zanzibari life, from how they prepare their food to the preparation of shelter and child rearing. You will eat food cooked from local pots made of clay soil and served on local plates. Later on, we will also take you to "Mganga" (witchdoctor/traditional healer) to see how African (Zanzibari) get treatment when they are suffering from disease or any intangible witchcraft. Also, you will use the canoe made of wood to
experience how they do fish which is their economic activities and fish for food. Late evening transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
