The Grand Tsingy (Andamozavaky) is the park’s main event. Located approximately 17km north of Bekopaka, this is a demanding but awe-inspiring 4-to-6-hour expedition.

● The Ascent (Via Ferrata): After a brief hike through the dry deciduous forest, you will don a climbing harness and use a system of carabiners and steel cables to navigate steep ladders and narrow rock chimneys.
● The Pinnacles: You will reach the summit of the limestone needles. The landscape stark, grey, and razor-sharp.
● The Hanging Bridge: The highlight of the day is a 20-meter-long suspension bridge hanging over a massive, 50-meter-deep limestone chasm. A perfect photo opportunity.
● The Cathedral: A majestic, cool canyon. It is a perfect, shaded spot to catch your breath and enjoy a packed lunch.
● Wildlife: Watch the trees for the Decken’s sifaka.

Day 6

Bekopaka - Morondava

Bekopaka - Morondava

After breakfast, you depart from Bekopaka and drive back to Morondava.

The itinerary is timed specifically to reach the Avenue of the Baobabs in the late
afternoon. This is the iconic "golden hour," when the ancient Adansonia grandidieri trees cast
long shadows across the red earth.

The Baobab Avenue is arguably the most photographed location in Madagascar. This
natural 2km stretch of the RN8 road is lined with over 300 massive Grandidier’s
baobabs (Adansonia grandidieri).

The "Mother of the Forest": Known locally as Reniala, these trees are a symbol of
resilience. While the surrounding forest was cleared for farmland over centuries, the
baobabs were spared by the local community out of respect and necessity.

The Golden Hour Experience (Sunset) This is the peak visiting time. As the sun dips,
the smooth, cork-like bark of the trees glows a deep orange-brown, and the sky
transforms into a canvas of violet and amber.

Day 7

Morondava - Antananarivo

Morondava - Antananarivo

After breakfast, you will head to Betania for visit of a fishermen village.

A visit to Betania (or Betany) offers a peaceful escape from the main tourist strip of Morondava. Located just across the river mouth at the southern tip of the Nosy Kely peninsula, this traditional Vezo fishing village provides a glimpse into authenticcoastal life.

The experience begins with a short, scenic crossing in a traditional pirogue (dugout canoe).
The village is a labyrinth of sand paths and traditional reed huts. It is famously home to a population of unusually large, sun-loving pigs that can often be seen wandering the outskirts or lounging in the shade, a unique quirk of this specific community.

Following the visit, you will be transferred to Morondava Airport for your flight to Antananarivo.

Upon your arrival in Morondava, you will be greeted by the ground team and transferred to your hotel.

Dinner and overnight at La Varangue Boutique Hotel.

International Departure from Antananarivo

After breakfast, you will visit the upper city of Antananarivo. Perched at an altitude of 1,400m, the Haute-Ville (Upper City) is the soul of Antananarivo where the Merina royalty first established their seat of power. Walking these cobblestone streets offers a journey through French colonial architecture and traditional two-story brick houses, all while overlooking the sprawling "City of a Thousand" below.

Highlights:
● The Crown of Tana
● Architectural Evolution: Originally a wooden structure built for Queen Ranavalona.
● Sacred Grounds: A sacred royal necropolis.

Cultural Tip: It is strictly fady to point your finger directly at the royal tombs or the palace; use a tucked-in knuckle if you must gesture.
