You may encounter lions returning from a hunt, cheetahs scanning the horizon, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as elephants, hyenas, and a variety of antelope species. After this rewarding wildlife experience, you will continue with a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game viewing en route across changing landscapes from open plains to highland forests. Arrive in the late afternoon and settle at your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay on the crater rim or in Karatu, surrounded by the cool highland atmosphere.
