Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (we assume you will arrive early in the morning).
We are thrilled that you chose to go on safari with us! Now is when all the planning pays off, and your safari dreams begin to come true. You will meet our team, who will explain what happens next and answer any questions you might have. Then, all that is left to do is go and start this safari trip of a lifetime together!
The time you spend in Lake Nakuru National Park will surely be memorable. The park is most famous (and rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white rhinos, as well as the populations of lions (including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You can also see flamingos, leopards, and plenty of birds. You will fall in love with the combination of lake, acacia forest, and dramatic escarpment.

10-Day Ultimate Kenya and Tanzania Mid-Range Safari
Depart early in the morning and travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the last remaining ecosystems where wildlife thrives in vast numbers and largely undisturbed natural habitats. As the northern extension of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is world-famous for its dramatic seasonal migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains, closely followed by predators.
You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.
You will love the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the best places to watch wildlife anywhere in Kenya. You are almost guaranteed to see plenty of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas. With so many impalas, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and other prey species here, as well as over 500 bird species, you will see plenty of safari action. Everyone who visits falls in love with Masai Mara's classic safari landscapes.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the reserve, with a packed lunch provided to maximize your time in the bush. The area is particularly renowned for its impressive black-maned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and the strong possibility of spotting the Big Five within a single morning game drive.
Cheetahs are frequently seen across the open plains, and in some cases, they may rest in the shade of safari vehicles during the heat of the day. The reserve is a paradise for bird enthusiasts, nearly 500 recorded species. These include numerous birds of prey such as eagles, hawks, and falcons, several species of vultures and storks, bustards including the kori bustard-the heaviest flying bird in the world-and a variety of colorful sunbirds. There is no better way to see and experience the Masai Mara than on one of our guided game drives.

On this day, you will transfer from the Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border. Pick up from the border and travel to Northern Serengeti National Park. If you are here during the migration, you will see the incredible wildlife populations of the Northern Serengeti. If you are here at other times, wildlife is still easy to see, and very few people are around. And whatever time of year you are here, you will enjoy beautiful scenery with rocky outcrops and the Mara River flowing by.
In the late afternoon, continue on a scenic game drive en route to your tented camp.

The chances are high depending on your travel days, but we hope to spend the entire day in this wildlife spot. The great migration will be in this area from late July to mid-October, crossing the famous Mara River to Maasai Mara Reserve in Kenya and back to Serengeti. You will have a high opportunity to see them crossing while the crocodiles in the river attack them.
The North Serengeti also has many big cats, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and hippos, and it is another good place to see the endangered black rhino. All meals and overnight will be at the camp.

This morning, we will travel to the next stage of your safari and enjoy a magical game drive.
You will learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor, where a unique wildlife offering adds to the sheer beauty of the experience. You will share the sunken ecosystem on the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos, and hippos. The crater’s watering holes provide year-round access to grass and water, supporting a stunning diversity of wildlife throughout the year, making every moment a captivating glimpse into one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders, an ecosystem formed in the crater in the millennia since the volcano wrought terrible fury upon the land.
