Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your journey begins at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or resident within Nairobi city. Upon arrival, you will be met by a professional safari representative for a transfer to Wilson Airport (WIL), which serves as the hub for domestic regional flights and light aircraft safaris. T

Upon landing at a bush airstrip, you will be met by a 4x4 Land Cruiser. The transfer to your lodge often serves as your first "game drive en route," where sightings of Grant’s gazelle, impala, and giraffe are common. After a luxury lunch and a brief period of rest (siesta), you will depart for a late afternoon game drive at approximately 3:30 PM. This is a prime time for spotting the "Big Five": lion, leopard, African elephant, Cape buffalo, and the rare black rhinoceros.

Full Day Masai Mara

Full Day Masai Mara

The second day is dedicated to a comprehensive exploration of the reserve. The Maasai Mara is world-renowned for the Great Migration (typically July through October), where over 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras traverse the Mara River, facing predation from Nile crocodiles. However, the Mara is a "year-round" destination due to its high concentration of resident herbivores and the prides of lions that follow them.

Day 3

Departure

Departure

On the final morning, you will enjoy one last sunrise game drive. This is often the best opportunity to find elusive leopards or cheetahs hunting in the tall grass. Following a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred back to the airstrip. The return flight to Wilson Airport offers a final view of the Mara’s meandering rivers and acacia-dotted plains. Upon arrival in Nairobi, a private vehicle will transfer you back to JKIA for your international departure or to a city hotel, concluding the luxury circuit.
