Arrival in Kigali- Transfer to Bwindi NP

Your adventure begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s clean and vibrant capital. After a short briefing, you set off on a scenic drive toward the Uganda border. The journey takes you through Rwanda’s famous “land of a thousand hills green, beautiful, and peaceful.

After crossing into Uganda, you continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its thick rain forest and rare mountain gorillas. You will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon or evening, relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the big day ahead.

Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi National Park

After early breakfast, head to the headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing before starting your gorilla trek.

Walk through the forest with experienced rangers as you search for a gorilla family. The trek can take 1–6 hours depending on their location. Once found, you will spend one magical hour watching them feed, play, and interact in their natural home. It is a powerful and unforgettable experience.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (about 2–3 hours).

Arrive in the evening and relax at your lakeside lodge, enjoying the calm views and cool breeze. Dinner and overnight by the lake.

Morning Canoe Experience – Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful morning canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Glide across the calm waters in a traditional wooden canoe as you explore some of the beautiful islands and enjoy the cool morning breeze. It is a relaxing and scenic way to end your safari.

After the canoe experience, begin your transfer back to Kigali. The drive takes you through rolling hills and offers lovely countryside views before crossing the border into Rwanda.

Arrival in Kigali in the afternoon for drop-off at the airport or your hotel.
