Arrival, shoebill experience, Transfer to Ziwa Rhino ranch
Arrival, shoebill experience, Transfer to Ziwa Rhino ranch
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and we immediately begin the adventure. No time to sleep yet — the birds are waiting!
We drive to Mabamba Swamp for an early morning canoe ride through narrow water channels covered with papyrus. This wetland is one of the best places in Africa to see the prehistoric-looking shoebill. As you glide quietly in a small boat, you will spot different bird species, but the highlight is that massive grey bird standing silently like it owns the swamp.
After this beautiful experience, we start our journey north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It’s a relaxed countryside drive with small towns and local life along the road.
Dinner and overnight at the ranch.

Day 2
Rhino Tracking - Transfer to Murchison & Top of the Falls
Rhino Tracking - Transfer to Murchison & Top of the Falls
After an early breakfast, you head out for rhino tracking on foot at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you walk through the bush following fresh tracks until you find the white rhinos. Standing just a few meters away from these giants is humbling. You hear them breathe, see the power in their bodies — and for a moment, everything feels very wild and real.
After the tracking experience, we don’t waste time. We drive straight towards Murchison Falls National Park and head directly to the Top of the Falls before checking into the lodge.
Here, the mighty Nile forces itself through a narrow 7-meter gorge and crashes down with unbelievable power. The sound is thunderous, the mist rises high into the air, and the views are simply breathtaking. After enjoying the falls, we proceed to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay inside the park.

Day 3
Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
Morning Game drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
This is a full wildlife day, so charge your cameras and your energy.
Early morning game drive on the northern bank of the park. This is where you look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards (if lucky), and many antelope species. The open savannah gives you clear views, and the sunrise light makes everything look magical.
After lunch or some relaxation at the lodge, you head for the famous afternoon boat cruise on the Nile. The boat takes you upstream towards the bottom of the falls. Along the riverbanks, you will see hippos in large numbers, Nile crocodiles sunbathing, elephants drinking water, and plenty of birdlife. It’s peaceful but also exciting at the same time.
If energy allows, an evening short game drive can be arranged for more wildlife viewing.
Another overnight in the park.

Day 4
Morning Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo – Transfer to Entebbe
Morning Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo – Transfer to Entebbe
Early breakfast, then transfer to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee trekking. This tropical forest feels completely different from the savannah — tall trees, fresh air, and forest sounds everywhere.
With a ranger guide, you enter the forest searching for a habituated chimpanzee group. Once located, you spend one hour observing them as they feed, groom, play, and jump between trees. They are noisy, funny, and very human-like sometimes you will see yourself in them!
After the trek, we begin the return journey to Entebbe with lunch en route. Arrival will be in the late afternoon or evening depending on traffic and stopovers.
