3-Day Gombe Wildlife Adventures from Dar Es Salaam

Air Transfer to Kigoma from Dar es Salaam with onward boat journey to Gombe

Your journey begins with an early morning flight at 5 40 am from Dar es Salaam Airport Terminal 2 to Kigoma.

Upon arrival at 7 40 am, you will be welcomed by our driver and transferred to Hilltop Hotel for breakfast.

At 9 00 am, depart for a scenic one hour boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park. After arrival, check in at your lodge and take time to relax.

In the afternoon, enjoy lunch followed by leisure time. You may swim at the beach or simply unwind by the lake. At 3 00 pm, set out on a guided 30 minute hike to a beautiful waterfall, with opportunities to spot primates along the way. Enjoy a refreshing swim before returning to the lodge.

If time allows, optional kayaking is available, and you can witness a breathtaking sunset over the lake.

Dinner is served between 7 00 pm and 9 00 pm, followed by a peaceful evening at the lodge.

Morning Chimpanzee Trekking and Afternoon Boat Transfer to Kigoma City

At 7 00am, enjoy breakfast at your lodge before proceeding to the park headquarters for registration where you will be assigned a professional guide for your chimpanzee trekking adventure. The trek takes place through the dense forest of Gombe, which is known for its steep slopes, so proper hiking gear is highly recommended. During the walk, your guide will share fascinating information about the chimpanzee community studied by Jane Goodall since 1960, and you may also encounter other primates, birds, insects and unique plant species.

The trekking experience usually lasts between four and six hours with a high chance of spotting chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After descending from the forest, return to your lodge for rest followed by lunch in the afternoon. Later, enjoy a scenic boat ride back to Kigoma town. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax and enjoy the facilities before dinner at 7 00pm.

Return Flight from Kigoma to Dar es Salaam

Start your day with breakfast at 6 00am while enjoying the breathtaking view of Lake Tanganyika. Later, transfer to Kigoma Airport for your 8 30am flight to Dar es Salaam.

Arrive at 10 40am and meet our driver for a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
