Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Upon arrival in Kenya, you will be warmly welcomed by a Savanna Sojourns representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), who will remain in communication with you to ensure a smooth start to your safari. Depending on your preference, pick‑up can be arranged either from your Nairobi hotel or directly from the airport.

Your safari adventure begins at 8:00 a.m. as you depart Nairobi for the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can admire sweeping landscapes and capture memorable photos.

You will arrive at Ashnil Mara Lodge between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. for lunch. After lunch, check in and take some time to relax before embarking on an afternoon game drive, offering your first chance to spot wildlife across the vast Mara plains.

As the day winds down, return to the lodge for dinner and an evening of relaxation, unwinding under the African night sky in preparation for the days ahead.
