Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

In the early morning, a driver-guide will pick you up in Nairobi and brief you on your safari before departing for the Masai Mara.

We will stop at the Great Rift Valley for lunch. Along the way, you can take photos of the valley's sheer drop, the nearby Suswa Ranges, and Mount Longonot. We will also have a lunch stop at Narok town, where a simple buffet of traditional Kenyan foods awaits.

Upon arrival at the Mara, you can settle in and rest before proceeding for an afternoon game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve.

Tip: The Maasai people sell souvenirs at the entrance. It is often cheaper to buy from them, and you also help sustain their livelihood by supporting their arts and crafts.

After the game drive, we will return to our camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Game Drive in Masai Mara

Game Drive in Masai Mara

Today will be a game viewing day! The Mara, as is popularly known, remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem. The Masai Mara National Reserve hosts a higher and more varied concentration of wild animals than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of these tree-studded savannah plains, its moderate climate and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities.

We will traverse the reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the Big Five and other lesser game. You will visit the Mara River, where you can watch hippos and crocodiles, or maybe the great migration (during July–October).

After your full-day game drive, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
