When other areas become dry, many animals migrate to Tarangire in search of water, making it one of the best places for wildlife viewing during this time.
Tarangire National Park is especially famous for its large elephant herds, and visitors often see groups of elephants moving across the plains or gathering near the river. The crater is home to large populations of zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and buffaloes, which graze across the open plains. These animals attract predators such as lions, hyenas, and sometimes cheetahs, making Ngorongoro an excellent place to observe natural wildlife interactions. Lions are commonly seen resting in the grasslands or hunting in groups.
The African elephant can also be found in the crater, especially the large bulls that move between the forested areas and open plains. Another special highlight of Ngorongoro Crater is the black rhinoceros, one of the rarest animals in Africa. The crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where visitors have a chance to see this endangered species in the wild.
Birdlife is also abundant in the crater. Lake Magadi, located on the crater floor, often attracts flamingos and other water birds, creating beautiful scenery. In addition, you may see ostriches, crowned cranes, and many other bird species around the grasslands.

The men are skilled hunters who use bows and arrows to hunt animals such as small antelopes, birds, and other wild animals found in the surrounding bush. Hunting is an important part of their culture and is usually done early in the morning. The hunters work together and use their deep knowledge of animal tracks and the environment to find their prey.
Women in the Hadzabe community usually collect wild fruits, roots, tubers, and honey from the forest and surrounding land. These natural foods are an important part of their daily diet.
