Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your preferred location in Nairobi. After a safari briefing, drive north through the central highlands of Kenya, passing scenic farmlands and small rural towns before gradually descending into the semi-arid landscapes of northern Kenya. You will arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across this rugged reserve known for rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River that flows through the park attracts numerous wildlife including elephants and predators, offering excellent photographic opportunities before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south toward the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park around midday. The drive offers beautiful scenic viewpoints as you descend the escarpment into the valley. After lunch, enjoy a game drive through this compact but wildlife-rich park famous for its rhino sanctuary. Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular landscapes of Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, depart the Mara and travel back across the Rift Valley toward the tranquil freshwater lake of Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat ride across the lake where you may see hippos submerged in the water and a variety of birds such as fish eagles, kingfishers, and cormorants. Later, continue to Crescent Island for a guided nature walk.
