Your adventure begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport or pick-up from your preferred location within Nairobi. After a short safari briefing, depart for the scenic journey north toward the rugged and less-visited wildernes of Samburu National Reserve. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the fertile Kenyan highlands to the semi-arid northern frontier characterized by acacia trees and dramatic rocky hills. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and some relaxation as you settle into the tranquil atmosphere of this remote reserve. Later, head out to explore Samburu’s unique ecosystem, home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of the park, attracts many animals including elephants, lions, and leopards, making the afternoon exploration particularly rewarding. Return to camp for dinner and overnight surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel south towards the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy located between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before exploring the conservancy, which is famous for its successful conservation programs. During your wildlife viewing experience, you may see rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, and many plains game species. Ol Pejeta is also home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. Later return to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.
