The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the fertile Kenyan highlands to the semi-arid northern frontier characterized by acacia trees and dramatic rocky hills. You arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and relaxation as you settle into the tranquil atmosphere of this remote reserve. Later, you head out to explore Samburu’s unique ecosystem, home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk. After breakfast, you depart Samburu and travel south towards the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges. You arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before exploring the conservancy, which is famous for its successful conservation programs. During your wildlife viewing experience, you may see rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, and many plains game species. Ol Pejeta is also home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. Later, you return to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.
