Nairobi to Lake Nakuru Flamingo and Wildlife Adventure

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi heading towards the scenic Great Rift Valley. Along the way, stop briefly at a viewpoint to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the escarpment and surrounding landscapes. Continue with the journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a mid-morning game drive. The park is famous for its flamingo-lined shores and incredible birdlife, making it a paradise for bird lovers. It is also one of Kenya’s best places to see both black and white rhinos. During the game drive you may also spot lions, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, zebras and several antelope species roaming freely across the acacia woodland and open grasslands. Enjoy lunch at a lodge or picnic site inside the park followed by another exciting afternoon game drive exploring areas such as Baboon Cliff and the lake shores. Later in the evening check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as you relax after a day full of wildlife sightings.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha Wildlife and Lake Experience

After breakfast, depart from Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. The drive takes about two hours and offers scenic views of the Rift Valley landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a lakeside lodge while taking in the peaceful surroundings and picturesque views of the lake. In the afternoon, you may take an optional boat ride at an extra cost on Lake Naivasha where you can observe hippos resting in the water and a variety of bird species such as pelicans, cormorants and the majestic African fish eagle. The calm waters and beautiful scenery make this one of the most relaxing experiences in the Rift Valley. After the excursion, begin the journey back to Nairobi, enjoying the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Arrival in Nairobi will be in the late afternoon, marking the end of your memorable two-day safari.
