Day 1

Transfer from Entebbe to Kapchorwa

Transfer from Entebbe to Kapchorwa

On this first day of your 7-Day Uganda safari, you will meet our representative and your private safari driver for a warm welcome and a briefing about the trip. Thereafter, set off for Kapchorwa where you will arrive in the late afternoon, depending on the time of departure. Along the way, you will see how Ugandans go about their daily life. Enjoy the scenic landscape as you arrive at your hotel. You will check in, have a drink and later go for a sunset walk. On return, you will freshen up, have dinner and relax.

Day 2

Hike to the Sipi Falls, Coffee experience and transfer to Moroto

Hike to the Sipi Falls, Coffee experience and transfer to Moroto

This morning, you will have breakfast at your hotel at around 7:00 and head out for a hike to the Sipi falls. It will start with a briefing by your guide who will also provide walking sticks to give you support as you trek. The approximately 3 hours tour takes you exploring 3 Sipi waterfalls at varying heights and each of them offers unique beauty.
After the hike, you will visit the local community for the coffee experience. This wonderful activity will take you through the process of preparing organic coffee and you will have the chance to taste it. From here, head to the hotel for lunch and set off to Moroto. You will arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, freshen up, have dinner and rest.

Cultural experiences with the Tepeth Community and Karamojong

Cultural experiences with the Tepeth Community and Karamojong

After your morning breakfast at the camp, you will head to the Tepeth Community. It is occupied by a tribe of Ugandans who are hunter-gatherers by origin. You will also learn about their history and thereafter return to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Karamojong village for a cultural experience. Interact closely with the people from this community and get an insight into how they live daily, and their cultural practices. This region prides as the only one with the last living traditional cultures. They will entertain you with beautiful traditional music accompanied by energetic dances. From here, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

The morning will start with a delicious breakfast at the camp restaurant. Thereafter, check out and set off for Kidepo National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch, enjoy the beautiful moment and take a nap. In the evening, you will head out for a game drive for a chance to see some animals such as elephants, lions, buffaloes and zebras among others. Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the least visited destinations, and therefore, you may notice very little traffic while exploring its wilderness.

This morning, as you set off for Murchison Falls National Park, you will have one more short game drive to look out for some animals that you may not have seen on the first game drive. Thereafter, you will set off for Murchison Falls National Park where you will arrive in the evening. A warm welcome at the lodge will be followed by a smooth check into your lodge, where you will stay for the night.

Day 6

Game drive and boat trip

Game drive and boat trip

After your early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the plains of the park for wildlife viewing. The drive gives you a chance to see elephants, kobs, lions, giraffes, hippos and Jackson's hartebeests among other animals of the park. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls. During the 3-hour boat trip, you will see lots of hippos in the water, birds and crocodiles on the shores and then the wonderful waterfalls before you make a U-turn to return to the docking area.
The evening will be spent relaxing and enjoying the serenity of the lodge surrounding.

Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Entebbe

As you come close to the end of your safari, enjoy your breakfast and thereafter check out. You will drive to the top of the falls where you will enjoy their powerful energy as the River Nile penetrates through the 7m gorge. It is an exciting experience as the waters splash all over you at the watching site. From here, you will drive out of the park to Entebbe, where you will arrive in the evening.
Optional activity enroute – Rhino tracking at Ziwa rhino ranch.
