Nairobi -Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your 3-day mid-range group safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi in a comfortable shared safari vehicle. Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a short stop at a viewpoint to enjoy breathtaking landscapes before continuing through rural towns towards the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes about 5–6 hours. You will arrive in time for lunch at a mid-range lodge or tented camp and later depart for an afternoon game drive across the vast plains of the reserve. The Mara is rich in wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many antelope species. From July to October, visitors may witness the spectacular Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move from Serengeti National Park into the Mara in search of greener pastures, often crossing rivers while predators wait nearby. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for an exciting full-day game drive in Maasai Mara with packed lunch boxes. Explore the vast savannah plains as your experienced guide searches for the famous Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. You may see lions resting under acacia trees or stalking prey, large herds of elephants moving across the plains, and buffalo grazing in the open grasslands. With some luck, the elusive leopard may be spotted resting on tree branches while the rare rhino roams quietly in protected areas of the reserve.

The Mara is also rich with other wildlife including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and numerous bird species. During the Great Migration season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras can be seen crossing the plains in search of fresh grazing.

In the afternoon, guests may choose to visit a traditional Maasai village (optional at an extra cost) to experience the Maasai culture and way of life before returning to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
