Depart early from Nairobi in a comfortable safari vehicle, heading south to Amboseli National Park. The journey takes about 4–5 hours, passing scenic towns, acacia woodlands, and the rolling landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, with a short stop to stretch and enjoy the views.

Arrive at your mid-range lodge or tented camp for lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its majestic African elephants, often covered in red or brown dust from the park’s clay-rich soil, giving them a unique reddish or brownish hue. You’ll also see lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and hundreds of bird species. As you exit the park, admire the stunning landscapes of the Maasai lands, dotted with traditional manyattas and grazing livestock, giving a glimpse into local life.
