Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Game Drive & Boat Safari)

Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar City to the airport for a scenic flight to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, your professional safari guide will welcome you and begin an exciting game drive through the park’s vast wilderness.

Nyerere National Park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, and many bird species. Along the banks of the Rufiji River, you may also spot hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

In the afternoon, experience a memorable boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you can observe wildlife and birds from a unique perspective. After the activities, transfer to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Nyerere National Park to Zanzibar

After breakfast at your lodge or camp, enjoy a guided bush walking safari accompanied by an experienced ranger, offering a closer look at the park’s natural environment. If the boat safari was not completed on the first day due to time constraints, it can also be arranged this morning.

Later in the morning, return to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar City. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel, marking the end of your memorable 2-day safari adventure in Nyerere National Park.
