Mombasa/Diani/Malindi - Tsavo East
Depart Mombasa (Departure time will depend on what part of the coast you are in) in the morning and drive inland through scenic countryside to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is famous for its “red elephants,” dusted in the park’s ochre soil, as well as lions, cheetahs, and herds of antelope. The landscape is strikingly open, with sweeping plains and the Yatta Plateau — the world’s longest lava flow — stretching across the horizon.
