You'll depart Mombasa (Departure time will depend on what part of the coast you are in) in the morning and drive inland through scenic countryside to Tsavo East National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is famous for its “red elephants,” dusted in the park’s ochre soil, as well as lions, cheetahs, and herds of antelope. The landscape is strikingly open, with sweeping plains and the Yatta Plateau — the world’s longest lava flow — stretching across the horizon. You'll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 2
Drive to Amboseli National Park
Drive to Amboseli National Park
You'll enjoy an early morning game drive when predators are most active, then depart for Amboseli National Park. The drive takes you through rural villages and offers glimpses of everyday Kenyan life. You will arrive in Amboseli by midday, with lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive across Amboseli’s open plains, where large herds of elephants roam freely. The park is renowned for its dramatic backdrop — Mount Kilimanjaro, often capped with snow, rising above the savannah. Keep an eye out for buffalo, giraffes, and predators such as lions and hyenas.

Day 3

You'll spend the entire day exploring Amboseli. You will begin with a sunrise game drive, when Kilimanjaro is most visible, and the light is perfect for photography. You'll visit the swamps fed by underground springs, where hippos wallow and birdlife flourishes. Amboseli is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 400 species recorded. Midday is ideal for relaxation at your lodge, before heading out again in the late afternoon. This is the best time to watch elephants silhouetted against the mountain as the sun sets, creating unforgettable safari memories.

Day 4
Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Drive to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive to Tsavo West National Park, a land of rugged beauty and dramatic contrasts. On arrival, visit Mzima Springs, a crystal‑clear oasis where hippos and crocodiles can be observed from an underwater viewing chamber. You'll continue your game drive through rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and volcanic landscapes shaped by ancient eruptions. Highlights include the Shetani lava flows, a vast black expanse of solidified magma, and the chance to spot leopards, rhinos, and diverse birdlife. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge, surrounded by the park’s wild terrain.

Reflect on the diversity of landscapes and wildlife you’ve encountered — from Tsavo’s elephants to Amboseli’s Kilimanjaro views — before returning to the coast for relaxation or onward travel.
