The day starts with an early departure from Nairobi, heading north through scenic landscapes toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Explore the rugged terrain and riverine forests in search of elephants, lions, and unique northern species before returning to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight rest.

Samburu National Reserve

Day two starts with an early morning game drive or optional hot-air balloon safari in Samburu National Reserve, when wildlife is most active along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return to camp for breakfast, then head out for a full-day game drive across Samburu National Reserve with a lunch break around lunch hour. The day ends with a bush dinner followed by evening rest.

Bufallo Springs National Reserve

Day three is fully dedicated to exploring Buffalo Springs National Reserve, a scenic and wildlife-rich landscape characterized by open savannah, natural springs, and the Ewaso Nyiro River. Enjoy extended game drives with excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and other unique northern species. Break for lunch at the lodge or a picnic in the reserve before continuing your exploration. Return in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

The fourth is dedicated to a meaningful conservation and cultural experience, beginning with a visit to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in the Namunyak Conservancy. After an early breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and arrive in time to witness the elephant feeding session and learn about the rescue, rehabilitation, and rewilding efforts led by the local community.

After the sanctuary visit, proceed for an enriching community visit, where you will interact with the local Samburu people, experience their traditions, culture, and way of life, and gain deeper insight into community-led conservation efforts. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
