Mombasa to Saltlick

Begin your safari with a pick-up from your hotel or Moi International Airport in Mombasa. Meet your professional driver-guide for a briefing before departing for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Arrive at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, uniquely situated within the sanctuary near Voi, in time for lunch. After check-in, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes and antelopes.

Return to the lodge for dinner and watch wildlife gather at the floodlit waterhole, creating a memorable safari experience.

Saltlick to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, check out and depart for Amboseli National Park, enjoying an en-route game drive through Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Continue through scenic landscapes towards Amboseli, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive en route to Kibo Safari Camp, set against the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch and some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo and abundant birdlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park, with flexible game-drive arrangements to suit your preference. You may opt for morning and afternoon game drives, returning to Kibo Safari Camp for lunch and relaxation, or enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch in the park. Explore Amboseli’s swamps, savannah and acacia woodlands, with opportunities to spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and abundant birdlife. Weather permitting, enjoy magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later, you may choose to visit a local Maasai community for a cultural experience and an opportunity to learn about their traditions, heritage and contemporary way of life.
