Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive through Kenya’s scenic landscapes toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey takes you via Nairobi, with a stop en route for refreshments and lunch at a restaurant. Continue across the Great Rift Valley, pausing briefly at a viewpoint to admire the escarpment and panoramic views.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and check in before heading out for a game drive at 1600hrs. The park is renowned for its flamingos along the lake shores and excellent rhino sightings, both black and white. A full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve begins early after breakfast with a packed picnic lunch. You set out at sunrise when wildlife is most active, offering great chances to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelope across the open savannah. Your guide tracks animal movements, exploring different areas, including rivers where hippos and crocodiles are often found.
Around midday, you stop at a designated picnic site to enjoy lunch in the wild, surrounded by nature. After lunch, continue the game drive, covering more ground and observing animals as they move, rest, or prepare for evening activity.
