Nairobi - Masai Mara National Park
You will be picked up from the airport on arrival or from your Nairobi hotel at 7:00 am. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge by 2:00 pm for lunch before embarking on a thrilling afternoon game drive in the reserve at 4:00 pm. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is hard to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. Perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place in the Mara: the annual Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of water and pasture. Following closely are the predators of the savannah—lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.
