Day 3

Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Samburu National Reserve and begin your scenic drive south towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The journey takes you through changing landscapes from dry northern plains to the greener highlands surrounding Mount Kenya.

Arrive at Ol Pejeta in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive within the conservancy. During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to explore the chimpanzee sanctuary the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees can be seen. After your game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta Conservancy and drive towards the lush highlands of Aberdare National Park.

Arrive at Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch, where you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, transfer by the lodge’s specialized vehicles to The Ark Lodge, uniquely set within the forest and overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick.

Spend the afternoon and evening enjoying wildlife viewing directly from the lodge’s decks and observation areas, where animals such as elephants, buffalo, bushbucks, and occasionally leopards visit to drink. This offers a rare and tranquil safari experience without the need for game drives.

After breakfast at The Ark Lodge, you will be transferred back to Aberdare Country Club to reconnect with your driver-guide and continue your safari.

Proceed towards the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this scenic park, well known for its flamingos and strong rhino population, along with lions, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Rift Valley.
