This is a longer travel day that takes you through Nairobi and into the Great Rift Valley, offering diverse scenery along the way. You will have a stopover for lunch en route, allowing you to rest before continuing your journey.
Arrive in Naivasha in the afternoon or early evening and check in to your budget hotel. The atmosphere here is noticeably different from the safari parks, offering a more relaxed and tranquil environment. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake surrounded by lush vegetation and is home to hippos and a wide variety of bird species.
Optional activities include a boat ride on the lake, where you can get closer views of hippos and water birds, or a visit to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
