Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in the city and driven to Lake Naivasha, with a stop at Hell’s Gate National Park. The park is largely made up of a savannah ecosystem and supports a wide range of wildlife. It is home to over 100 bird species, including vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. Mammals such as African buffaloes, zebras, elands, hartebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, and baboons are commonly seen, along with Klipspringer antelopes.

Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake and popular tourist destination in Kenya, offers a relaxing setting for the remainder of the day. You may choose to unwind or opt for an optional one-hour boat safari at an additional cost, where you can spot wildlife like hippos and take in the scenic views of the lake and surrounding highlands.

Day 2

After an early morning breakfast, you will travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. Located south of Lake Bogoria in the Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is world-famous for its flamingos. The lake’s alkaline waters make it one of the Natural Wonders of the World. It also serves as a rhino sanctuary, hosting more than 40 black rhinos and over 60 white rhinos.

Flamingos remain the main attraction, sometimes numbering up to 2 million and forming a striking pink fringe along the lakeshore. You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a camp or lodge of your choice, with options to upgrade or downgrade accommodation at an additional cost or reduced rate.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife. It is one of the best places to spot the Big Five, even during a morning game drive.

Cheetahs here are notably relaxed and may seek shade under vehicles or even climb onto them for a better vantage point. Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted, as nearly 500 species have been recorded, including 16 types of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, six species of vultures, eight species of storks, four species of bustards (including the kori bustard—the heaviest flying bird), and nine species of sunbirds.
