Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Shira hike day tour

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative expert driver guide and transferred to the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro for a day hike at the Shira plateau (3500meters) along the way you will be provided with short briefing about your safari. Enjoy scenic drive followed by a guided hike through unique high-altitude landscape, offering stunning views of the mountain, open moorland, and surrounding plains. This experience gives you a taste of Africa’s highest peak without the need for a full climb. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the mountains before starting to descend and transferring to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your expert guide and escort you on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its impressive herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Upon arrival, you'll go through a swift check-in process, which will take no more than 30 minutes. Then, you’ll embark on your thrilling game drive, soaking in the park's exceptional beauty and diverse wildlife. Around afternoon, you’ll pause for a leisurely lunch at a picturesque picnic spot. Afterward, you’ll continue your exploration of Tarangire, marveling at its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife, while exiting the Park make your way back to Arusha where you'll have time to relax and enjoy the Mount Meru view before a delightful dinner awaits.

Arusha National Park - Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for Departure

After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Arusha National Park for a scenic game drive exploring the open plains, beautiful Lake Momella and forest. You will have chance to spot giraffes, zebras, warthogs, buffaloes and white and black colobus monkeys, along with variety of bird species including flamingos and other water birds. You will enjoy delicious picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later in the day, you will transfer to JRO/ARK Airport depending on your schedule.
