4-Day Nyerere (Selous) & Mikumi National Park

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

You will be picked up at the hotel at 7:00 am after breakfast and drive for 5 to 6 hours to Nyerere National Park (Selous). Upon your arrival, you will have a hot lunch at the camp, followed by a short rest. At 4 pm, enjoy an evening boat safari on the Rufiji River for 2 to 3 hours. There, you will find a variety of bird species, as well as crocodiles and hippos, during your boat safari. In the evening, you will have an overnight at Your Lodge.

Nyerere National Park Full Game Drive

You will have breakfast in your accommodation, followed by full-day game drives in the reserve. Selous is home to a large population of elephants, a large number of buffalos and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus and crocodiles.

Nyerere to Mikumi National Park

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and depart from Nyerere National Park, heading to Mikumi National Park. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village in the Mikumi area for a cultural experience.

Upon arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will check in at your selected lodge or camp, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Mikumi National Park Full Game Drive-Transfer to Dar es Salaam

Fuel up with an early breakfast before embarking on a full-day adventure through the expansive grasslands of Mikumi National Park, where the open terrain offers prime opportunities for spotting wildlife. After enjoying a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, you will spend the afternoon traversing diverse habitats in search of lions, elephants, zebras, and an array of bird species. As the day winds down, you'll transfer to Morogoro to board the SGR train for a smooth evening journey back to Dar es Salaam.
