Kigoma to Gombe National Park

Pick up from your hotel or Kigoma Airport and transfer to the boat for a scenic cruise across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park.

On arrival, check in at Kasekela Rest House and receive a short briefing. In the afternoon, enjoy chimpanzee trekking in the forest, with chances to see chimpanzees and other primates.

Later, relax by the lake, swim, and enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Kasekela Rest House.

Chimpanze Trekking in Gombe National Park

Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am, after which you will embark on a full chimpanzee trekking adventure deep into the forest. During the trek, you will visit the Kakombe Waterfall, the chimpanzee feeding station, and explore the lush forest ecosystem, observing its diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, you may encounter various primates, including baboons, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and red-headed monkeys, all in their natural habitat.

After the trek, you will return to the camp for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy swimming in Lake Tanganyika or unwind on the beach while watching a breathtaking sunset. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm, followed by an overnight stay at Kasekela Rest House, preparing you for the final day of your Gombe adventure.

Chimpanzee Treking Forest Walk and back to Kigoma

After breakfast at 7:30 am, you'll embark on a short chimpanzee trek, offering one final opportunity to observe these remarkable primates in their natural habitat. Following the trek, you will return to the camp to prepare for departure. Around 11:00 am, you'll board the boat for a scenic cruise back across Lake Tanganyika to Kigoma.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred directly to your hotel or Kigoma Airport, concluding your unforgettable Gombe National Park safari. This final day provides a peaceful reflection on your wildlife encounters and the beauty of Gombe’s forest and lake landscapes, leaving memories that will last a lifetime.
