Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari driver-guide, who will brief you on your safari. Begin your journey through the Great Rift Valley, passing lush highlands, escarpments, and small rural settlements. Pause at a scenic viewpoint to capture sweeping panoramic views of the valley and the glimmering lakes below.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru, a stunning soda lake known for its flamingos and rich biodiversity. Check in at Egret Savannah Camp, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, and freshen up. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive. Spot endangered black and white rhinos grazing peacefully, herds of giraffes nibbling acacia leaves, and lions lazing in the golden savannah. After an early breakfast, depart for the legendary Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous safari destination. Travel through scenic Kenyan countryside, passing tea plantations, farmlands, and rolling hills, as well as traditional Maasai villages. Your guide may stop to explain Maasai culture, their beadwork, and cattle herding practices.
Arrive at Zebra Plains Camp in time for lunch and check-in. After a short rest, embark on an afternoon game drive. The Mara’s wide-open plains host spectacular wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. Your guide will interpret animal behaviors and track wildlife for prime sightings.
