Day 3

Have another early morning game drive then return to your camp for breakfast. Check out of your Amboseli camp and proceed on a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via Nairobi. You will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru, fondly known as the pink lake, is home to big flocks of both greater and lesser flamingos, which give the lake a magnificent pink carpet. The birdlife here is enormous, with 400 species of birds including white pelicans, plovers, egrets and Marabou storks.

At first light, check out of your Nakuru lodge, and go for a short game drive as you head out of the park towards Masai Mara. This drive will consist of panoramic views of large wheat plantations and the famous Mau Forest. You will arrive in time for lunch and an evening game drive.
