Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop to admire the breathtaking escarpment views. You continue through Narok town as you head towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or camp.

In the afternoon, you set out for your first game drive in the vast plains of the Mara, where rolling savannahs open up to incredible wildlife sightings including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, if lucky, predators beginning their evening hunt. As the sun sets over the golden horizon, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, settling into the sounds of the wild in preparation for the days ahead.

After an early breakfast at your lodge or camp in Masai Mara, you check out and begin your journey towards Lake Naivasha, enjoying a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with sweeping views along the way. You arrive in Naivasha in time for lunch at your hotel or resort.

In the afternoon, you unwind with optional activities such as a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha to spot hippos and diverse birdlife, or a visit to Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Later in the evening, you return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful lakeside environment as you prepare for the next stage of your safari journey.
