Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading south towards Amboseli National Park. The drive takes you through scenic countryside and local settlements, offering a glimpse into rural Kenya as you make your way towards one of Africa’s most iconic parks.

You arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising majestically in the background. After some time at leisure, you set out for your first afternoon game drive across the open plains of Amboseli.

After an early breakfast in Amboseli National Park, you depart for Tsavo West National Park, enjoying a scenic drive across the changing landscapes of southern Kenya. As you leave Amboseli’s open plains behind, the terrain gradually shifts to rolling hills, volcanic formations, and dense bushland, marking your entry into Tsavo West.

You arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, followed by a short rest as you take in the serene wilderness surroundings. In the afternoon, you head out for a game drive, exploring the park’s rugged beauty and diverse habitats.

A highlight of the day is a visit to the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters attract hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of fish and birdlife. The surrounding greenery offers a striking contrast to the park’s otherwise dry landscapes.

Exploring Tsavo East National Park

After an early breakfast at your lodge in Tsavo West National Park, you check out and depart for Tsavo East National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through the vast wilderness with occasional wildlife sightings.

On arrival, you begin a game drive across the park’s open savannahs, famous for red soil landscapes and large herds of elephants, along with buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

You continue in search of predators such as lions and cheetahs before heading towards the Galana River, a key wildlife hotspot attracting hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. You also enjoy views of the Yatta Plateau.

You then proceed for lunch (picnic or lodge-based) followed by an optional afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight in Tsavo East.
