Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins in Nairobi where you are met by your driver-guide for a warm briefing before departing for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. You travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, with a scenic stop along the way to admire sweeping escarpment views and capture photos.

Continuing the journey, you pass through local towns and open countryside as you head deeper into Kenya’s wilderness. Upon arrival at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara, you check in and enjoy lunch while taking in the sounds and sights of the savannah.

In the afternoon, you head out for your first introductory game drive in the reserve. This is your first chance to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions as you explore the golden plains of the Mara.

As the sun sets over the savannah, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, settling into the rhythm of the African wilderness.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara - Big Five Experience

You begin the day early with breakfast at your lodge or a packed picnic before heading out for a full-day game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve. The early morning is ideal for spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas while they are still active.

As you explore the vast savannahs and acacia-dotted plains, you encounter large herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, and giraffes moving freely across the ecosystem. Your guide takes you through key wildlife areas, including river points where hippos and crocodiles can often be seen.

At midday, you enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild surrounded by the beauty of the Mara. After lunch, the game drive continues as you explore different sections of the reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru -Rift Valley Journey & Afternoon Game Drive

After an early breakfast, you check out from your camp in Maasai Mara and begin your scenic drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through the Great Rift Valley with beautiful landscapes and countryside views along the way.

You arrive in Lake Nakuru in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge. After a short rest, you head out for an afternoon game drive in the park, famous for its rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, and tree-climbing lions. The lake shores may also reveal flamingos and other birdlife depending on the season.

As the sun sets over the acacia woodlands and lake views, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
