Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Set off early in the morning for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining places on Earth where wildlife continues to thrive in large, relatively undisturbed populations. As the northern extension of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is famous for the dramatic seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators. Day 2
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and as one of the few places where the Big Five can often be spotted in a single morning. Cheetahs here are notably relaxed, sometimes resting in the shade of safari vehicles or even climbing onto the roof for a better view of prey. Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted, as nearly 500 species have been recorded, including eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, storks, bustards—such as the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird—and a variety of colorful sunbirds.

Day 3
Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Naivasha
Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Naivasha
Depart early in the morning for Lake Naivasha, the highest and among the most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. Situated at 1,910 meters (6,200 feet), its fresh waters are bordered by dense papyrus reeds, once used by ancient Egyptians to make paper. The papyrus provides a haven for birdlife—kingfishers perch along its edges while herons quietly hunt within it. With over 400 recorded bird species, Naivasha is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. The lake is also a popular weekend escape for Nairobi residents, offering activities such as sailing, water skiing, and fishing. Due to the high altitude, the water remains too cold for crocodiles, though hippos are commonly seen. Along the shores, vineyards contribute to the country’s growing wine industry. Dinner and overnight stay at a campsite or lodge.
