Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading north through Uganda’s scenic countryside toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. On arrival, you will take part in a guided walking experience to track rhinos on foot while learning about the sanctuary’s vital conservation work and observing these impressive animals in their natural environment.
After lunch, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, the country’s largest and oldest protected area. Upon arrival, proceed to the dramatic Top of the Falls viewpoint, where the Nile River is forced through a narrow 7-meter gorge before crashing into the powerful Devil’s Cauldron below. Day 2

Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the vast plains of Murchison Falls National Park, when wildlife is at its most active. Explore savannah tracks and open woodlands in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and warthogs, with possible sightings of lions or leopards for the lucky few. The soft morning light also provides excellent conditions for photography and scenic viewing. Then enjoy a bush breakfast in the middle of the savannah and a short period of relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River toward the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles resting along the banks, and an impressive variety of bird species. The journey offers spectacular views as the river narrows dramatically toward the powerful falls. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
