Mababe Depression - Savuti

A three-night mobile camping safari in Savuti is a classic wilderness experience in the heart of Botswana’s Chobe National Park, and this duration is widely recommended by experts to fully explore the diverse habitats and prolific predator activity for which the region is famous.

Savuti, known as Botswana’s predator center, is world-renowned for its lions, leopards, hyenas, and African wild dogs. You will also see large herds of elephants, buffalo, and seasonal zebra migrations. The landscape features the Savuti Marsh and the Savuti Channel, which periodically flows after decades of being dry, creating a unique ecosystem for birds and herbivores. Camping here is a truly wild experience, and it is common to hear the sounds of elephants, lions, and hippos throughout the night.
