Serengeti National Park
The famous Serengeti National Park is home to the Great Migration. The game drive is spectacular as you ascend the crater highlands, stopping at the rim before continuing into the vast plains. Covering about 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km), the park is home to more than 2 million large animals, including over a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas roam the area, along with smaller wildlife like rock hyrax and monkeys, and nearly 500 bird species. On the second day, after breakfast, enjoy a full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities include a visit to Olduvai Gorge or a hot air balloon safari.
