Pick up from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park - King's Palace Museum

After breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up and depart for Nyungwe via the road from Kigali to Nyungwe,

On the way, you will stop in Nyanza to visit the King’s Palace Museum, where you will walk through a traditional royal palace, learn how the king lived, where he slept, and see the famous inyambo royal cows, with singing and poetry performed for the cows. You will have lunch on the way to proceed on the journey to Nyungwe.

You'll stay overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Tea Plantation Experience

You take an early morning breakfast, then, with your packed lunch, drive to Cyamudongo for the starting point of your chimpanzee trekking.
Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee, Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee).
The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo, and Cameroon). With only about 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is endangered. However, it should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps, as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of montane forest in East and Central Africa, and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity.

After the chimpanzee visit in the afternoon, you will go for a coffee tour that offers a hands-on journey from "crop to cup" around the buffer zone of Nyungwe forest, then back to Nyungwe Top View Hotel to stay overnight.

Colobus Monkey Trekking and Transfer back to Kigali

You will enjoy the early breakfast at your hotel and proceed to the forest for the colobus monkey trekking adventure. Once you spot the monkeys, you will normally have up to an hour observing them. After your experience, you will go back to your hotel for lunch. Then, you will transfer back to your hotel of residence or the airport, according to your ticket details.
