Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara – Into Big Five Country via the Great Rift Valley
Nairobi to Masai Mara – Into Big Five Country via the Great Rift Valley
Drive time: ~ 5 to 6 hours (with scenic stops)
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi and eased into the journey. No rush, no confusion (just a proper start with a guide who knows the road and the rhythm of the trip ahead).
As you leave the city, the landscape begins to open up. Before long, you descend into the Great Rift Valley, where you’ll stop along the escarpment (not just for photos, but to actually take it in).
You continue toward the Masai Mara with a comfortable break along the way (stretch, coffee, reset). By early afternoon, you’ll notice the shift (flatter land, wider skies, and that unmistakable feeling that you’re entering wild country).
After lunch and a bit of time to settle in, you head out for your first game drive. This is when it clicks.
Look out for:
Elephants moving across the plains
Giraffes in the distance
Possible early lion sightings
By the time you return to camp, it won’t feel like an introduction. It will already feel real.

Masai Mara Safari – Full Day Big Five Game Drives & Predator Action
Masai Mara Safari – Full Day Big Five Game Drives & Predator Action
Driving time: flexible (we move with the wildlife, not the clock)
Today is all about the Masai Mara (and we give it the time it deserves).
You head out early, when the reserve is at its most active. The air is cool, the light is soft, and predators are often on the move. Your driver-guide will adjust the pace depending on sightings (this is where experience really matters).
You can either return to camp mid-morning or stay out longer with a packed picnic lunch (most guests prefer staying out once the action starts).
Expect strong chances of:
Lions and cheetahs
Elephants and buffalo
Large herds of zebra and wildebeest
If you’re traveling during migration season, our guide will position you strategically for possible river crossings (this is where timing and guide instinct make all the difference).
Later, you return to camp in the evening, a little dusty, fully immersed, and already talking about what tomorrow might bring.
Optional: Maasai village village (at an extra cost).

Masai Mara to Serengeti - Cross-Border Safari into Tanzania's Endless Plains
Masai Mara to Serengeti - Cross-Border Safari into Tanzania's Endless Plains
Driving time: about 7 to 8 hours (including border crossing)
You start early today. It’s a longer travel day, but we handle it in a way that keeps it comfortable and purposeful.
You'll drive out of the Mara and head toward the Isebania border. Our experienced guide will assist you through the crossing process (it’s straightforward, just requires a bit of patience... and you Tanzania Visa). This is also a good time to stretch, refresh, and reset.
Once on the Tanzania side, you’ll meet your next guide for the leg and continue toward the Serengeti.
And this is where things shift again.
The land opens up even more. The scale feels bigger. And often, wildlife starts appearing before you even reach your lodge.
Along the way, you may see:
Wildebeest and zebra herds
Giraffes and antelope
Early predator signs
You arrive in the late afternoon, settle in, and enjoy dinner under a sky that feels noticeably bigger. Tomorrow, you explore the mighty Serengeti in earnest...

Day 4
Serengeti National Park – Full Day Big Cat and Great Migration Safari on the Iconic Plains
Serengeti National Park – Full Day Big Cat and Great Migration Safari on the Iconic Plains
Driving time: flexible (this is a full immersion day)
Today is what many travelers picture when they think of an African safari.
You head out early into the Serengeti, one of the best places in Africa for predator sightings. The landscape is vast, open, and incredibly active.
Your guide will take you through different habitats (open plains, kopjes, river areas), each offering something different.
Strong chances of seeing:
Lions resting or hunting
Cheetahs scanning the plains
Leopards (with a bit of luck)
Large herds during migration periods
You stay out as long as it makes sense, with a picnic lunch set in a safe, scenic spot.
By afternoon, the light softens and the whole landscape changes tone. It’s one of the best times for photography.
You return to lodge in the evening, and by now, you’ll feel the scale of the Serengeti properly.

Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Scenic Highlands Journey & Crater Build-Up
Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Scenic Highlands Journey & Crater Build-Up
Driving time: about 4 to 5 hours (with game viewing en route)
You take it a bit slower this morning, with one last game drive through the Serengeti before heading out.
As you leave the plains behind, the scenery gradually changes. The flat savannah gives way to greener hills and cooler air (you’ll feel the difference).
We make a few natural stops along the way (nothing forced, just moments where the view calls for it).
By afternoon, you arrive in the Ngorongoro highlands. It’s quieter here, more relaxed, and a good place to reset.
What this day does well:
Breaks up the pace
Gives your body a rest from long game drives
Builds anticipation for the crater experience
You’ll have the evening to relax, enjoy the lodge, and prepare for tomorrow's dramatic descent into the the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, spanning about 260 square kilometres and plunging to a depth of 610 metres.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater Safari to Amboseli - Big Five Crater Experience & Kilimanjaro Transfer
Ngorongoro Crater Safari to Amboseli - Big Five Crater Experience & Kilimanjaro Transfer
Driving time: about 6 to 7 hours (balanced by a major highlight)
You start early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater just after sunrise. This is one of the most unique safari environments in Africa (a natural enclosure with a very high concentration of wildlife). Estimates put the number of large mammals at about 25,000!
You spend several hours exploring the crater floor. Later, have a picnic lunch by a crater lake side, most probably with zebras and other herbivores grazing nearby.
Highlights here often include:
Lions and hyenas
Buffalo and hippos
Flamingos on the lake
A chance (not guaranteed, but real) to see black rhino - they are shy
After the crater experience, we begin the journey toward the Namanga border and cross back into Kenya.
Yes, it’s a longer day. But it’s balanced by what you experience in the morning.
By the time you approach Amboseli in the evening, the landscape opens again. On clear days, you may catch your first view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Day 7
Amboseli National Park - Elephants, Kilimanjaro Views & Classic Safari Landscapes
Amboseli National Park - Elephants, Kilimanjaro Views & Classic Safari Landscapes
Amboseli has a different feel (and that’s exactly why it works so well at this stage of the trip).
You head out early when visibility is best for Mount Kilimanjaro. When the clouds lift, the view is unforgettable. This park is famous for its elephants, often seen in large family groups moving calmly across open plains.
You’ll also visit Observation Hill (one of the few elevated viewpoints in the park), offering sweeping views of the swamps and surrounding landscape.
These swamps are fed by underground streams from Kilimanjaro, creating a year-round water source that attracts wildlife even in dry seasons.
Beyond elephants, look out for:
Lions and hyenas
Buffalo and giraffes
Zebras, wildebeest, and abundant birdlife
A unique fact (Amboseli’s elephants are among the most studied in the world, shaping global conservation research).
The park also plays a key role in community-led conservation efforts.
We keep the pace easy today. No pressure, just space to take it all in.

Day 8
Amboseli to Nairobi – Final Game Drive & Relaxed Return
Amboseli to Nairobi – Final Game Drive & Relaxed Return
We keep the final morning unhurried, but meaningful.
You can head out for a short game drive as the park wakes up, or enjoy a relaxed breakfast at lodge with Kilimanjaro quietly in the background. Either way, it’s a gentle close to your time in the wild.
You leave Amboseli mid-morning and begin the journey back to Nairobi. The landscapes shift gradually (from open plains to farmland, then into small towns and roadside life). You’ll pass local homes, open-air markets, motorbike taxis, and small food joints serving freshly grilled nyama choma and chai.
It’s a different kind of experience now (less about wildlife, more about people and place). You see everyday Kenya unfold in real time.
We make a comfortable stop to stretch and refresh before continuing.
By early afternoon, we drop you off at your hotel or airport, with enough time for onward travel plans.
Optional beach add-on from Amboseli National Park to Diani Beach (lively vibes) or Watamu (quiet, reef)...
